M-31 Enameled belt mount "Leaf with Pelican" Discount

The replica was based on an archeological find of a set of mounts from an Italian colony on Crimea.

In Medieval times a pelican was also depicted as a bird drawing its own blood with its beak to feed its young. It symbolised the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ spilling His blood for His faitful.
